I finished my M.Sc in genetics 4 years ago and B.Sc in microbiology 6 years ago. Since then only job I found was telesales. last year I applied for volunteery role at a biotech company and they offered me a low paid job as a business development agent £8 per hour. I worked there 4 months, and then left the company because of downsizing.
I really want to enter pharma/biotech industry, and because I had many years (4), sales experience, the business development role was interesting. But I want to be employed with a real money at least £25-£30K, however they need more experience. Do you have any idea how I could use my scientific knowledge and get paid well? shall I lie in the interview and say I have more experience?

Is there anything available outside of a job in academics, teaching or doing research? I love genetics but I would like to know before I pursue a graduate degree.
