minds and goals? Certainly when our children grow up, isn’t it reasonable to assume that they might have different minds and preferences for reality that we must respect and do everything in our power to make sure we prepare the world for them, according to their new genetics and minds? What do you think?

I think you are exactly wrong. That’s the difference between the mind of an adult and the mind of a child. THEY. DON’T. KNOW.
Their new genetics? What rubbish is this? What new genetics? You’re unaware of DNA?

Why make a comparison, between non associated reference points.
Genetics, has nothing to do with the Mental Stimulation in the Mind. Nor how the Mind establishes and executes, the attaining of various goals.
The Basic Genetic Background of almost every creature alive on earth today. Is almost precisely the same, as it was 30,000yrs ago.
Therefor, attempting to make a comparison between Genetics and Free Will. Is purely so far beneath logical, reasonable and intelligent discussion. That it makes your question, fall into the ludicrous category

Many truths, especially emotional and human motivation truths are timeless and require considerable maturity to discover. Each generation is apalled at some of the truths older people tell them and they twist and squirm trying to convince themselves and each other that they are wrong – just as their parents did, and their parents, and every generation since the beginning of man.
It’s the dance of immaturity I suppose – we all seem condemned to go through it, but our elders still try to advise us and guide us and we blow them off. Like they just stopped seeing life or living when they turned 21.
I find life horrifically more complicated and changing at breakneck speed for the coming generation. They will have to adapt in new ways and faster and smarter than the previous generation had to do. But the timeless truths are still true. The principles.
